Recently, ams OSLON announced the launch of a new plant lighting OSLON® Optimal LED product line, which is based on the latest 1mm² chip, which integrates high efficiency, reliability and cost performance.
At present, the new OSLON® Optimal LED has released two products, Deep Red (Hyper Red, 660nm) and Far Red (730nm), and it is expected that deep blue light (450nm) and plant white (Horti White) will be available in the third quarter of 2022.
According to reports, the OSLON® Optimal LED series products are only 3.0mm x 3.0mm in size, which is particularly suitable for plant lighting equipment for vertical farms and high-density greenhouses, which usually require intensive use of LEDs. For these applications, balancing efficiency (photosynthetic photon flux per watt, PPF/W) and low cost (photosynthetic photon flux per dollar, PPF/$) is critical.
In addition to being cost-effective, OSLON® Optimal LEDs offer excellent stability, reliability and an excellent service life.
The new product is based on the same advanced InGaAlP thin-film chip technology as the Square 2mm² chip LED product family, leading the high-performance plant lighting LED market. This technology enables Optimal LEDs to handle high drive currents and high operating temperatures, minimizing photon flux attenuation and maintaining excellent operating life. The product is packaged in 3030 high-power ceramics, which has strong corrosion resistance and can effectively resist harsh crop environments.
In addition, optimal LEDs feature a new, larger spherical lens that generates a 120° wide viewing threshold that provides uniform illumination to crops and prevents light from gathering under the luminaire to form “hot spots.” The new product family offers higher PPF/$ and PPF/W than OSLON® SSL plant lighting LEDs, while the pads are compatible with OSLON® SSL and OSLON® Square LED series. With its powerful performance, high reliability and long working life, this new LED is worthy of the trust of plant lighting manufacturers and growers. (Source: LEDinside)
